Description
Hi,
The HostKey (Right CTRL by default) doesn't work when the "Show position of pointer when control key is pressed" option is selected in mouse preferences in Ubuntu.
To reproduce:
On Ubuntu, go to System -> Preference -> Mouse
Click the check box for : "Show position of pointer when control key is pressed"
Close the window
Test if it works by pressing both CTRL keys. If it works, a concentric circle animation is shown around the pointer making the position of the mouse pointer on the screen very obvious.
The problem: When the above is in effect, start a VM on VirtualBox, try to use hostkey to capture mouse or to go to the virtual terminals if you're running linux. (HostKey + F1). The action takes no effect in my case. Also not able to take snapshots (HostKey + S) or Quit the VM (HostKey + Q).
Thanks,
Yogesh Girikumar.
That is no bug of VirtualBox. The key is just not passed to the VirtualBox process so there is nothing we can do about it.
