HTTPS website login does not work with virtio

Description

With my bridged adapter using virtio, I could not log in to my Google Account (I was trying to log in to Youtube). After I changed the adapter to use PCNet Fast III instead, I could log in.

Other sites worked, and the YouTube home page loaded, but the HTTPS login just hung and then stopped with a blank page, in Firefox.

I spoke too soon.

This bug only happens sometimes, but does also still occur with PCNet Fast III. After the bug has started happening, it happens every time (in that guest session).

It does not only affect HTTPS - it also affects editing Wikipedia pages. So it looks like guest -> Internet transmission is not working properly.
