Ubuntu 9.10 X server crashes sometimes when pressing Enter

Description
I'm running a 32-bit Ubuntu 9.10 Guest in 64-bit Windows 7, with VirtualBox 3.1.0. In the past 2 days, I have had my guest machine's X server crash on two occasions when I pressed the Enter key. I don't know if this is related to the value of the key, as it does not happen consistently.
I am using the Linux guest additions.
