WinXP Guest on Ubuntu 9.04 Host aborts shortly after logging in (seen after 3.0.4->3.0.6 upgrade)

Upgrade to 3.0.6 causes WinXP guest to abort when logging into WinXP and loading desktop. Worked fine with 3.0.4 and re-installation of 3.0.4 works again.
Tried increasing RAM from 128 to 256 made no difference. Not logging in allows guest to continue to run.
