Description (last modified by )
I refer to this post http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=19139, Sander van Leeuwen suggested opening a new ticket, and actually I found no ticket for this yet (I might be mistaken).
In my case, when I assign more than one processor to my Linux guests (Windows XP host), the guest will freeze when copying a large file from the host to the guest via shared folders. I can reproduce this via copying a thunderbird tar file (about 300 MB) from the shared folder to my home folder. The guest will more or less freeze instantly. Last time I tested this was with a Ubuntu 9.04 guest, but it happened also on a Gentoo guest. The guest freeze happens also when I simply access folders inside the shared folder. It may work for a while, but after a couple of tries it will freeze again. When I leave it to one processor assigned to the guest, these freezes do not occur.

I'd also like to add that I always used Nautilus to copy the files. I have also tried from within the console now, there it worked for one time, when I tried a second time immediately after the first one, the guest froze again.
