Description
I use Ubuntu Feisty Host, and WinXP Pro guest.
I am running a 1280x1024 resolution and have the settings "Auto fit Guest" on. I installed the newest Guest additions.
When using VBoxSDL and maximizing the window, a black bar appears at the bottom of the screen.
It is approximately the size of the Menu bar + Status bar in the "regular" viewer. The black bar appears only when maximized.

How do I launch the Qt GUI? Is it the "main" GUI, used when launching from "VirtualBox"? If so, the ALT+TAB works for the "main" GUI, unless it is in fullscreen mode.
The black box does not appear in the "main" GUI. The "menu bar + status bar" I refer to, are the ones from the "main" GUI.

The VBoxSDL frontend isn't as fully featured as the Qt GUI and we have no plans to change this.
I'm not sure what other problems you're referring too. If there's still a problem with 1.6.x, then please reopen and be more elaborate on any problems you see with the Qt GUI.
Does the same happen with the Qt GUI? VBoxSDL is primary meant for debugging purposes.
