Description (last modified by )
Hi, During Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 installation -when windows installer reports 13 minutes left (registering components phase) - than VirtualBox send two line in the log: 00:14:29.112 PIT: mode=2 count=0x4ad (1197) - 996.81 Hz (ch=0) 00:14:29.186 PIT: mode=2 count=0x2ead (11949) - 99.85 Hz (ch=0)
and the installation seems to hang up. The windows installer doesn't report any error, even not recognise the problem, but the remaining time sign not decreased...
I tried with different disk and memory settings, but install never went over the '13 minuts left state'.
Regards, Robert

Hi Robert, Just a note on this topic as have had similar problems myself with both Virtualbox, MS Virtual PC and Connectix ( now MS VPC ). Simple solution that has worked for me on every occassion was to eject the CD and then wait till prompted for CD again. Seems to work a treat and finished installation :-) Regards, Chris

Can you re-test it on VBox 3.x ? (as I have Windows Server 2003 working, but on a different configuration)
My Host: Windows 7, x64, Core 2 Q6600, VBox 3.1.0-BETA1 (VT-x = on)
