Description

Hi team,

I understand you're very hard at work at fixing Windows 10 compatibility issues, and I'm sorry you have to deal with the circumstances out of your control leading to these issues. That's actually why I'm creating this ticket -- though I can find some issues that relate to Windows 10 hosts, I can't find any that coinside with my particular issue. I am unable to launch ANY kind of guest environment with this version, nor any other version I've downloaded. This includes test builds, builds put on forums with workaround tools, the works. When I attempt to launch a build, it brings the following error:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine _____.

The virtual machine ____ has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005).

Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: MachineWrap
Interface: IMachine {f30138d4-e5ea-4b3a-8858-a059de4c93fd}

Additionally, my log is attached for two different guests.

Thanks so much!

Apologies -- the "MacOSX "Host" Log obviously refers to the MacOSX Guest Log. Apologies for the confusion''

Any response?

Any idea of your VMs crash? In that case an application dump, see here, scroll down to Windows, could be helpful.

comment:4 by LaneW, 10 years ago

Unfortunately, I can't get any VM to even start so they're not even crashing to begin with. Additionally, Virtual Box is not crashing in Windows at all, it's just failing to initialize the VMs.

Finally, unrelated to your comment: I've confirmed that this is happening with the latest test release as well

Any change with VBox 5.0.4?
