this question is different from tickets #10954 and #10190
When I try to use Altium 13.3 on windows 7 vm (ubuntu 14.04 host), I am not able to see the traces when I run interactive routing. Like those previous tickets I did find that Altium said that I was not supporting DirectX9, though I found the two drivers appropriately one being microsoft and the other oracle based.
When I run dxdiag, I see that I am running DirectX 11 which should be backwards compatible with DirectX9.
any help would be appreciated

I also have 256 MB video memory. when I installed guest additions, I clicked no when asked to use the basic drivers.
