USB devices fail to work

Description
Host: Ubuntu 14.04 Guest: Windows XP
I am trying to get my iPad to be registered by Windows XP. Following other bug reports, I have:
- Installed Guest Additions
-Set the virtual CPU to 1
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I connects to the Guest, but even after a complete reformat, it can't detect the device. No drivers.

What is the exact problem? Is your iPad visible by VBox, is it passed to the guest?
