Critical Error occurs on starting the Virtual Box with Win XP as guest OS

Description
The Guest OS which is Windows XP is not starting. The Host operating system is Windows 7.
But if I disable the Serial ports and the USB controller in the virtual Box Manager, through the Settings menu, the VM starts up properly.
