Description
When installing extensions 6.1.48 in guests Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit), Windows 7 Pro (64-bit), or Windows Vista Home (64-bit), the guest will fail to boot and attempt to repair. Repair will fail and need to restore from a backup. Windows 10 and Windows 11 appear unaffected. I have not tried XP (32-bit) or earlier.

#21875 is for VB 7.0.12 This ticket is VB 6.1.48 on a Linux host. BIG difference between 6.1.48 and 7.0.12!!!

This issue should be fixed in the VirtualBox Guest Additions 6.1.49r160107 (and newer), which can be found on VirtualBox test builds.
And it was a duplicate indeed! ;)
